About Emmanuel Pelayo

I was born and raised in California to parents of Mexican descent. I moved to the East Coast over eleven years ago to initiate my career in healthcare. I am fluent in both English and Spanish and enjoy being able to serve diverse and underserved communities. I earned my Master's in Adult Health Nursing from Fairleigh Dickinson University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide comprehensive care. Why I became a NP/PCP? I have a strong belief in helping people and contributing to my community and have been fortunate to have had a broad range of experiences as a Registered Nurse and Registered Dietitian. Being a Primary Care Provider allows me to be even more invested in my patients' health and build long-lasting relationships to promote the best possible outcomes. Most Rewarding Day at Work? The most rewarding day at work for me is when I can go the extra mile for my patients, and it makes a positive impact on their health, quality of life, and wellbeing. At Sanitas? At Sanitas, you'll find a caring, dedicated staff that will go above and beyond to meet your healthcare needs. Our goal is to provide quality, comprehensive health care while developing a bond with our patients, families, and the local community. Outside of Work? My favorite things to do when I'm not working are spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, and exploring the diverse culture, cuisine, and adventures of the NYC metropolitan area.
