About Emmeline (Emily) Sansom
Emily Sansom is thrilled to share her knowledge of nutrition and wellness with all patients who walk through her doors. She began her nutrition career with the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program in Pleasanton, Texas, where she taught women how to care for themselves nutritionally during pregnancy, delivery, and well into the rest of their lives. She then transitioned to preparing patients for the lifelong changes necessary following bariatric surgery.
“Finding your healthy lifestyle takes patience and effort, but when you begin to take charge, your body begins to thank you for it. This combo complements each other so well, you can't help but live life any other way,” says Emily. Whether you are a postpartum woman or a senior citizen, it's always the right time to start trying.
Emily offers individual coaching and mentoring sessions to help patients struggling with obesity from 16 years and up. Together, they create weekly meal plans and follow up regularly for accountability. Each visit includes further education and motivation to continue making healthy choices. Topics discussed include healthy eating behaviors, creating nutritious plates, understanding how food breaks down in our bodies, and making smart choices when dining out or grocery shopping. Emily also connects with past and present patients on Facebook and Instagram.
