Getting to know Dr. Erewarifagha Haidome
Hi. My name is Haidome, and I am a Caring Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Rimisac Family Health. I am proud to serve this amazing community in the Coop City-Baychester Bronx Area.
I have a great passion for nursing, especially for the many people in my community who suffer from mental illness. Most do not receive adequate treatment and care. Mental health problems are rising, requiring a high level of specialty to address the emerging and complex needs of patients that change over time.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health NP, I diagnose and treat individuals with psychiatric problems and identify risk factors contributing to their disorders. I have experience with patients from diverse backgrounds presenting various mental health issues. Through this, I have developed multiple approaches for exploring psychiatric disorders and effectively supporting my patients.
This profession requires patience, as some patients may be cooperative or willing to share their experiences, especially when disorders stem from past trauma. Evidence-based and patient-centered nursing approaches have been essential in helping me interact with patients and provide long-lasting solutions.
Early and accurate diagnosis of mental disorders is essential for proper prognosis. Mental health diagnoses can be confusing, and misdiagnosis is a risk. When this happens, care quality deteriorates, and the patient’s condition may not be fully addressed. I have learned to interact with patients holistically, providing attentive listening to understand their concerns and offer comprehensive care that enhances well-being.
I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from Adelphi University, which has further equipped me to deliver high-quality, specialized care.

What should a new client know about working with you?
I have been blessed enough to treat wide range of ages. I feel so grateful to all of my patients for trusting me to walk with them on their recovery journey. I have treated patients as young as 5 and as mature as 98 years old and I love working with people of all ages!
My first passion is helping individuals feel better, my second passion is teaching. I spend a lot of time helping others to understand their Mental Health condition and educating them in self-help strategies to integrate throughout their day. It is through education that individuals can make progress when they understand what daily activities are helpful or harmful.
While under my care, patients can expect to receive a comprehensive plan with the goal of returning to the activities they enjoy. I am most rewarded when my patients are happy.

Zocdoc has some real winners trying to be professional. It's absurd. You guys need to step your game up and actually help people. I'm going to try one more time at this before I freak out. So unprofessional!

Wouldn’t prescribe me what I’ve been on for years.. even though it’s the only thing that helped me. Gave me a medicine that isn’t even for the disorder I have. I was 1 minute late to the appointment because her phone calls weren’t coming through, so I had to wait another hour to be seen. Very fast convo, 15 minutes at most. Didn’t feel listened to at all. Granted I don’t think the doctor I talked to was the one I booked to see but nonetheless still very unprofessional
