Mr. Eric Amene is a caring and compassionate adult psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 7 + years of experience in the healthcare industry. Mr. Amene earned his Associate degree in general studies at Baltimore City Community College before transferring to Bowie State University to earn his bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN). He worked as a mental health nurse in different hospitals, including correctional facilities in the state of Maryland, for several years before moving on to obtain his master’s degree in nursing (MSN) at Walden University to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He is an esteemed member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. Mr. Amene enjoys giving back to his community and has served as a volunteer for the March of Dimes. During consultations, Mr. Amene gives each and every patient his attention and is deeply committed to their well-being.

An initial evaluation takes about 30-45 mins. Follow-up visits would take about 10-30mins depending on symptoms severity.

There was clearly another person in his room but he didn’t tell me, it was supposed to be video but was a phone call, and the appointment was for Adhd symptom management but he insisted on focusing on anxiety and depression instead. Didn’t respond to any feedback in regards to the direction of the conversation. Had to end the session halfway through.

He was very stringent with prescriptions and was unwilling to explore simulants beyond a very low dose, despite a long history of successful use for my adhd treatment. Would not recommend for ADHD treatment, but may be good for other types of disorders.

Their office does not provide any after hour services at night or weekends, if you have a question or side effect from a medication and you have to wait till Monday. There is no oncall doctor. Also Zocdoc did not have any information on whom to contact in case of any questions after the visit and I had to google the name to find the office.
