About Dr. Eric Berkowitz
Dr. Eric Berkowitz earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in 2001, where he also served as a Senator for the Student-Faculty Senate. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center before entering the dermatology residency program at Mount Sinai Medical Center in 2002.
Dr. Berkowitz completed his residency in Dermatology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in 2005, serving as Chief Resident during his final year. Following residency, he completed a one-year fellowship in Procedural Dermatology at Mount Sinai. From 2006 to 2009, he served as the Director of Surgical, Laser, and Cosmetic Dermatology in the Division of Dermatology at Montefiore Medical Center.
Since then, Dr. Berkowitz has worked in a large multispecialty medical practice. Establishing his private practice on the Upper West Side of Manhattan allows him to treat patients more comprehensively for a full range of dermatological concerns-from medical and surgical treatments to aesthetic, cosmetic, or corrective procedures. Dr. Berkowitz offers the latest innovations in diagnosing and treating skin disorders, customizing care to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Dr. Berkowitz came in and immediately started touching my face and diagnosing me without asking any questions or looking at my symptoms. was extremely off-putting and weird. when i asked him to sit down and talk slower, he was nice and patient about it so props for that, at least.
He prescribed me medication, tbd if it will work. i’d recommend making sure you’re prepared to ask questions because he didn’t try to explain anything off the bat - just spoke very fast and a little unclear.

Just what you'd want from a doctor's appointment. Staff was friendly and helpful and efficient. Dr. Berkowitz is knowledgeable, attentive, helpful, and positive. Also, unlike some dermatologists, he doesn't push cosmetic procedures.

Dr. Berkowitz is amazing. I’m a long time patient with complex skin issues and Dr. Berkowitz spent the time and effort to solve a painful condition that 3 other doctors couldn’t.
I can’t recommend him enough! It’s hard to find a dermatologist that isn’t just trying to sell you cosmetic treatments, but is also a fantastic physician. Plus he’s really nice.
The office is also clean, the staff is friendly, and there’s never a wait. I wish other doctor visits were this easy!
