About Dr. Eric Bowman Jr.
Dr. Eric Bowman Jr. is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology for patients of all ages. Known for his compassionate, patient-centered approach, Dr. Bowman is committed to providing personalized dermatologic care that helps patients achieve healthy skin and improved overall well-being. His clinical interests include skin cancer detection and prevention, dermatologic surgery, acne, eczema, psoriasis, and other chronic inflammatory skin conditions.
Dr. Bowman earned his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine, where he was selected to conduct skin cancer genetics research as an intern with the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health. His research has been published in prestigious medical journals, including the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). He completed his internship at St. Luke’s Hospital and his dermatology residency at the University of Michigan, where he received extensive training in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Bowman serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU Langone Health and remains actively involved in advancing the field of dermatology through education, research, and professional leadership. He serves as an Advisory Board Member for the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and is a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS).
Dr. Bowman provides comprehensive dermatology services, including skin cancer screenings, mole and lesion evaluations, treatment of inflammatory skin conditions, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology procedures. Dr. Bowman was great - friendly, attentive, asked follow up questions and ensured I was satisfied with our path forward. He also provided a few avenues for me to look into if I was interested in getting more tests and was honest about what he thought I would and wouldn’t need. I’ve heard good things about Manhattan Derm as a clinic so I was happy to have a good experience with them and Dr. Bowman!
