Eric Lowry Cole, MD, earned his Doctorate of Medicine in 1992 at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina. He remained there to complete an internship in General Surgery in 1993 followed by a residency in Otolaryngology in 1997. Dr. Cole also completed a Plastic Surgery residency in 1999 at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and a craniofacial reconstructive surgery fellowship at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in 2011. Board certified in Otolaryngology and Plastic Surgery, Dr. Cole joined Kelsey-Seybold in January 2026. Following in the footsteps of his father, who was also an otolaryngologist, Dr. Cole offers care for patients with a broad range of general Otolaryngology disorders. These include infections, swallowing disorders, allergies, hearing and balance problems, and more. He has a particular interest in treating nasal obstructions and skin cancers of the head and neck. Dr. Cole’s favorite aspect of practicing medicine is connecting with patients by hearing their individual stories and improving their difficult problems. Philosophy of Care With empathy and a focus on patient education, Dr. Cole communicates openly and honestly with his patients and their families, engaging them in shared decision making for plans of care. He also treats each patient as he would his own family member. Hobbies & Interests Outside of medicine, Dr. Cole enjoys playing guitar and spending time with family.
