About Dr. Eric Powitzky
My goal as a physician and surgeon is to provide the best quality of care to patients through an individualized, compassionate, and evidence-based approach. I take pride in advocating for patients under my care and working as part of their treatment team. I am dedicated to developing and nurturing lasting relationships and am honored to offer my expertise across a range of diseases of the ears, nose, and throat at Houston Methodist Hospital.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Baylor University in 1996. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine and completed my internship in General Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. I then completed my residency in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at the same institution in 2002. Since 2002, I have been in practice in the Texas Medical Center and served as President of Houston's Society for Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery from 2010 to 2011. I have a special interest in general otolaryngology and surgery for diseases of the ears, nose, and throat.
