Eric Quasie, APRN

Eric Quasie, APRN

Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatry)
IL
My journey into psychiatric care was personal before it was professional. Watching someone I love struggle to find the right mental health support and seeing how transformative the right care can be, shaped everything about how I practice today. I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other neurocognitive disorders. What sets me apart: I'm known for translating clinical jargon into plain language, so you always understand what's happening with your own brain and why we're making the decisions we are. You won't leave a session more confused than when you came in. Outside the session room, I stay sharp by keeping active, cooking, and listening to wellness podcasts, because I believe the best clinicians never stop learning.

What should a new client know about working with you?

If you've tried treatment before and it didn't work, or if you're showing up exhausted and skeptical, that's okay. You'll be heard. We'll start with a thorough but low-pressure conversation covering your history, your past experiences with treatment, and what you actually want from care - whether that's getting through the day without feeling overwhelmed or rebuilding long-term emotional stability. By the end, you'll have a clear picture of potential next steps and a collaborative plan we've built together. Most importantly, you'll leave knowing you have a partner who is just as invested in your progress as you are.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My practice is built on two things: genuine human connection and evidence-based medicine because I don't think you should have to choose between them. I meet you exactly where you are, without judgment. While I'm skilled in medication management, I don't lead with prescriptions. Medication is one tool in a larger toolkit we build together. Your culture, your goals, your history - all of it shapes the path forward. My aim isn't just to treat a diagnosis, it's to help you feel like yourself again and regain a sense of control that may feel out of reach right now.
