About Dr. Erica Dommasch
Dr. Dommasch is a board-certified dermatologist at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
She treats patients of all ages and provides comprehensive care for a wide range of skin conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis and skin cancer. Dr. Dommasch also performs cosmetic procedures, including Botox, fillers and laser treatments.
Dr. Dommasch has a special interest in LGBTQ+ dermatologic care and has been an invited speaker nationally and internationally on the topic. She has authored more than 30 publications and is committed to providing evidence-based, patient-centered dermatologic care.
Dr. Dommasch earned her undergraduate degree from New York University, where she was a Presidential Honors Scholar, a member of Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude. While in college, she worked as a medical assistant in a dermatology practice, where she first developed her interest in dermatology. Dr. Dommasch earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey–Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. While in medical school, she received a predoctoral National Research Service Award Institutional Training Grant to conduct clinical research in psoriasis at the University of Pennsylvania.
She completed an internship at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia and a residency in dermatology at Boston University. From 2014–2024, Dr. Dommasch served on the faculty at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Fenway Health and was an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School. In 2018, she earned a Master of Public Health in clinical effectiveness from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. For nearly a decade, she was actively involved in the education of dermatology residents and medical students.

I feel bad writing a slightly negative review because I’ve had good experiences at this office for years with other doctors. But I thought Dr. Dommasch was a little unfriendly and rude. And the nurse was even more so honestly.
Right away I could tell the nurse was unfriendly, and when she was asking me for my medical history, she was snippy and rolling her eyes. I get everyone has a bad day, but when she was going through my medical history, it felt like she was annoyed by how many medicines I take. Or like it was an inconvenience for her to confirm.
Then when she walked in with the doctor, I saw her make a face, rolling her eyes. The doctor was basically like “what are you here for”? Every few words, definitely seemed like she didn’t look at the records. And she kept on saying wow you have a lot of medicines and a lot of things you’re here for. Like yeah, that’s why I come to the dermatologist. Sorry for bringing my business here.
I left feeling pretty hurt by both interactions.

Poor bedside manner - I felt like Dr Dommasch did not want to properly examine me - I had to insist and keep asking questions. It felt like the reason for my visit was beneath her and not something she wanted to deal with. I wouldn't recommend for medical visits. I had to seek out another provider a week later - was a much better choice!
