About Erica Underwood
Meet Erica Underwood, an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with over nine years of comprehensive dermatology experience as an APRN and 22 years of nursing experience. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of South Florida, where she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Erica specializes in comprehensive skin care management in both medical and cosmetic dermatology, treating patients of all ages. Her passion for dermatology began during her time as a registered nurse in the Burn Unit at the University of Florida Health Burn Center at Shands Hospital. She achieved board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and has been a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner (DCNP) since 2019.
Originally from Michigan, Erica now considers Tampa home. She enjoys all sports, but nothing compares to cheering on her two boys in football alongside her husband. In her free time, she loves traveling, spending time on the boat (with sunscreen), and enjoying quality time with family and friends.
