About Erica Vinas
Erica A Vinas, RD, CDE, is a nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Educator with more than 30 years of experience working with children, adults, and families. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Nutrition from New York University and completed an internship in Dietetics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Her mission is to help people realize their fitness objectives, feel good while losing weight, attain optimal health, and improve their quality of life. Erica is supportive and encouraging, working closely with individuals to foster a healthy relationship with food. In her practice, she identifies the barriers that prevent people from reaching their goals and helps them overcome these obstacles to promote long-term success. She believes that healthy living is important and that with nutrition education and proper planning, everyone can achieve their goals. She gave me detailed advice about what I should be eating, but there was no discussion of whether her advice was sustainable for my lifestyle. She discussed calorie cutting for weight loss, but not how I could augment my exercise plan or what my goal was for how quickly to lose weight. We didn't talk about supplements and how those could factor into the significant calorie deficit that she was recommending.

Dr. Vinas was friendly and advised me on a diet that I could easily adhere to as it was promulgated on what I was currently eating by showing me improvements in my personal habits. This method allowed me to see that I could achieve my goal without disruption of daily routines.

She was great, very attentive, asked a lot of questions to really tailor my weight loss meal plan to the foods I like and enjoy! Love all the worksheets she gave me to fill out, printed out the sample meals I can use ans interchange, and really spent her time with me I did not feel rushed through my time with her. Would absolutely recommend her to family and friends!

Dr. Erica Viña is amazing with detail and takes the time to go through everything that is needed. A great listener and very knowledgeable. I brought my 14 year old to her and she was wonderful with her. I highly recommend her to anyone .
