They take the time to get to know you, understand your health concerns, fully educate you on all of your options, and make you laugh throughout the process - child or not. Dr. Smith grew up in the Atlanta area and attended Auburn University where in 1988 he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He also received his doctorate of Optometry in 1992 from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Certified by the National Board of Optometry and the Georgia State Board. Dr. Smith is recognized for his clinical expertise and commitment of quality eyecare. He has also received special training in the treatment and management of ocular disease.
He and his wife reside in Duluth with their four boys.

I went here for the first time today (3-29-16). Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Dr. Smith was very professional and kind. He took his time with me and was open to any questions. This is an excellent practice with an extremely talented and courteous group of professionals. I was impressed with their attention to detail, willingness to explain my options and the time afforded to begin discussing a continuum of care. This is the first time I have ever been impressed by an eye exam. The value of the visit was much more than simply a new prescription. I have found a permanent home at this practice for my eye health.

Prior to this visit I have been going to a big box retailer for my contact lenses. My last visit resulted in contacts that made seeing up close very difficult and I wanted to go to an independent vision center for better care. The reviews I have read about the Briggs Group in general were overwhelming positive and my experience proved that those glowing reviews were absolutely correct and deserved.
I was greeted quickly by the receptionist. My wait was only a few minutes. This is a very organized and professional office. The nurse who did my initial tests is a delight, very competent and personable. I wish I remembered her name because she deserves much better recognition for being great at her job.
Dr. Smith is also very nice, professional and thorough. He explained his concerns about my retinal photo and was very gracious about answering my questions and other concerns.
I am entirely happy with my experience and think I have found a permanent place for my eye care needs

I have been going here for years! The office is always running on time, and I've never had any issues. When I do need to get a new pair of glasses, they are always so helpful and work with you to find a pair on your budget and explain what your insurance will cover. They are also great in helping you select a pair that looks good on you as well! :D

Very Professional service provided.
The staff is knowledgable. I was impressed by Donna - the Assistant to Dr Smith. My experience with other clinics is that Assistants are interns so they are still in the "training" phase - but Donna was highly knowledgable and professional. This is what a customer expects from the clinic.
I highly recommend this location and clinic.

They had state of the art equipment which made me feel that Dr. Smith is well informed about the health of the inside of my eyes as well as my vision. Dr. Smith was very pleasant and fully explained everything to me and gave me honest advice. I haven't had an eye exam in a dozen years and haven't had any eye problems. But being in my early 40s now I'm having trouble seeing the computer and reading. He actually told me I could get away with drug store readers - he wasn't trying to sell me anything. I decided to get a pair of prescription reading glasses and his staff was extremely helpful.
