About Dr. Erika Schwartz
Dr. Erika Schwartz is the Scientific Conference Chair and a past President of the American Association for Women Podiatrists. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Temple University. Dr. Schwartz has been recognized multiple times by her peers and colleagues in Washingtonian Magazine as a top DC Podiatrist and received the Clinician of the Year Award from the Podiatric Surgical Residency Training Program at Medstar Washington Hospital Center for her work as a resident educator. As an American Podiatric Medical Association spokesperson, she has been featured throughout multimedia, including the Washington Post, Prevention Magazine, and DC Channel 5 News. Dr. Schwartz is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in foot surgery. She is on the medical staff at Medstar Washington Hospital Center, Sibley Memorial Hospital, Glen Echo Surgical Center, and Massachusetts Avenue Surgery Center. Originally from Long Island, New York, Dr. Schwartz and her husband now reside in Montgomery County, Maryland, with their two children.

I used Zocdoc for the first time to book this appointment. I needed a podiatrist in the DC area after moving here permanently in the fall.
The Schwartz office confirmed my appointment over the phone, as well as over text a couple times, providing logistics and the correct address. The office is a little hard to find - it's a small unit on the 9th floor of a building.
Check-in process was quick and I was taken back right away! Dr. Schwartz was super nice and really knew what she was talking about.. She gave me a second and better opinion on an issue I got checked out elsewhere. I was in and out with lots of info in about 20 minutes. I will definitely be sticking with this practice in the future.

Dr. Schwartz was excellent as always. She had previously done surgery to correct a painful bone problem years ago, and she remembered me and my issues very well. For the current issue, she examined my foot, provided pain relief, and gave me a reasonable plan to follow in terms of my physical activity before my upcoming reassessment. Great doctor!

My visit with Dr. Schwartz was fine but I am very disappointed with my visit with Dr. Ahmad. He made an apparatus to help with the discomfort that I was experiencing with my big toe that put a blister on the bottom of my foot that is still there and very uncomfortable. I had two visits with that office afterwards, seeking relief but found none. That's when I booked with Dr. Schwartz.

This was probably the best experience, at a medical office, I have ever had - everyone in the office was spectacular (front desk, Physicians Assistant). Dr. Schwartz immediately diagnosed the problem and told me the solution. I wish this was a primary care office. I wish all medical office experiences could be like this one.

Appointments are pretty typical of doctor offices--rushed. I think the appointment slots are 10-15 minutes here, not enough time unless your issue is very straightforward.
