Erika Torres is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion for women's mental health. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and Behavior from Columbia University in New York City and completed her Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville, TN. She has worked in a variety of mental health settings and is pleased to provide high-quality mental health care for her patients at Mind Body Optimization in Franklin.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Erika has a particular interest in women's mental health including perinatal and post-partum care. Additionally, she has a passion for working with individuals struggling with mood disorders and psychosis. Erika is aligned with the Health At Every Size philosophy.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Erika completes one hour long evaluations on all new patients including evaluating lab results. Follow up appointments for medication management typically last thirty minutes and are scheduled approximately one to three months apart depending on patient need.

This is a scam. They knew what kind of insurance I had and I had to show them and now they say I owe them hundreds of dollars . This is a scam these people should be a shame scamming people like this. I owed nothing at time if my visit and then they sent me a bill of hundreds of dollars ( they want let me add the amount on here it say it will get rejected if I do) This is crazy!! Don’t go to this place RUNNNNN THEY WILL SCAM YOU

Erika presence is overall so welcoming. She doesn’t talk at you, she talks with you and fully wants you to get everything that you are looking for with a team approach to better understand you and your current state. It was easy for me to trust and open up to her very quickly, which meant a lot because I have not had the best experience in the past. I look forward to working with Erika. She is very knowledgeable and you can tell that she loves what she does!

Erika is absolutely wonderful! She’s a fantastic communicator, excellent listener, puts you at easy right away, is extremely knowledgeable about women’s health for all ages and is part of her specialty (which is what I was looking for), and is exceptionally knowledgeable about medications for my ADHD and autism. I only wish I’d found her years ago!

I initially had an appointment scheduled for Thursday, but an emergency came up which I understand. So I rescheduled for the next day at noon CDT. I waited until the time for the appointment when I was told I'd be given an email with instructions to meet with them online. I never received that email, and didn't get a clear easy to communicate my issues. I keep checking in to see if it was rescheduled again but I noticed it wanted me to rate how the appointment went. No phone call, no email. I'm sure the service could be great if it were provided but I cannot speak that with confidence from my current experience.
