About Dr. Erika Vergara-Lopez

Dr. Erika Vergara-Lopez, ND, MS Ayurveda, is a graduate of Bastyr University, where she earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and Master’s in Ayurvedic Medicine degrees. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a focus on Forensic Science and a Minor in Chemistry from California State University, East Bay. Diagnosed with fibromyalgia in her early 20s, Dr. Erika embarked on a personal journey to learn how to heal herself. After experiencing limited success with pharmaceuticals, she turned to alternative natural medicine for deeper healing. This transformative experience inspired her to pursue advanced training in naturopathic and Ayurvedic medicine. Dr. Erika is a firm believer in the body’s innate ability to heal itself. Her specialties include women’s health, gastroenterology, and nutrition. She employs an individualized approach using botanical medicine, nutrition, hydrotherapy, and nutrient therapy. She embraces the naturopathic principle of “Docere” — to educate and empower her patients with knowledge. Born in Mexico and fluent in Spanish, Dr. Erika moved to the United States at age seven and was raised in the Bay Area. She relocated to Washington State to pursue her naturopathic doctorate. Outside of her practice, she enjoys gardening, swimming, dancing, hiking, yoga, barre, and spending time with her family. Dr. Erika joined the Anti-Aging & Wellness Center in Bakersfield, CA, in January 2022. She is deeply compassionate and dedicated to helping patients of all backgrounds achieve optimal health.
