I am passionate about being a healthcare provider because I love building trust, connection, and personal care when helping people. I want my patients to feel helped, but also instill confidence in self-care. I genuinely want people to be the best versions of themselves.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
Primary Care Providers help individuals be the best versions of themselves possible. PCPs optimize physical and mental health, giving people greater confidence to move through this challenging world on a day-to-day basis. PCPs see and treat the whole patient as an individual.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I am on the board of a maker space, which allows me to flex my creative mind. Art, exercise, and connections in the community fill my cup and are my natural anti-depressants.

Provider hung up on me while I was parking bc she couldn't talk to me while I was driving. She talked incessantly without listening. And she told me I had to make another appointment with her to order lab work even though I was already on the phone with her...

I was originally seeking care for a specific purpose and based on specific symptoms I am concerned about. This provider didn’t ask me any questions about my symptoms, and when I explained them to her, she quickly invalidated them, without asking any follow up questions. She seemed more concerned about what insurance would accept over finding the cause of the health issues that I have been experiencing for years. I will not be going back.
