Getting to know Erin Kloster
My name is Erin Kloster, and I am a Board Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Prior to becoming a PMHNP-BC, I spent 15 years as a Labor and Delivery Nurse, ushering in new life and guiding families through some of the hardest times in their lives. These experiences have afforded me the ability to bond with families during both joyous and sorrowful moments. It is with that same care, compassion, and empathy that I commit to guiding you through your mental health journey.
Life is often overwhelming. I want to work with you to find small and big ways to make incremental changes that improve your everyday life. I approach my work with a compassionate, non-judgmental, and trauma-informed lens. I believe you deserve a provider who takes the time to listen, understand, and collaborate with you to develop a plan that fits your unique journey. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health across the lifespan, from Walden University. I am licensed to practice in the state of Arizona.
It is our belief that no one should be without access to quality mental health care, especially during one of the most vulnerable and emotionally taxing times in life. Unity MHW is committed to empowering and advocating for individuals with both general and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders by offering compassionate, evidence-based, comprehensive psychiatric services.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Unity MHW strives to revolutionize Mental health care. We do this through a very open line of communication with all of our patients. Through 24/7 availability by text, and a concierge service mentality, we can remain right at your side throughout each day.
For personalized care, we offer our patients no charge, 15 minute appointments same day (most days) to connect if you simply need to talk, vent, share exciting news, etc. We want to be there for you when you need it.
Wellness at Unity will soon consist of free community events. We are looking to partner with Alta climbing and fitness to offer free drop in on a scheduled say of the month, where you can just come and spend some time using the facilities. Again, this is at our cost, not yours. We want to work on the health of your mind, and also your body and soul. More details coming soon!
We strive to spend time getting to know you personally. It is important for us to build that relationship with you, and let you know just how happy we are to be a part of your journey. What is your typical process for working with clients?
First, schedule a no cost, 15 minute appointment with Erin to see why she is a great fit for you. Again, this is zero cost. At Unity, we are so confident that you will want Erin as your healthcare partner, that we are one of few providers offering a free consult. once you schedule, your first appointment with Unity MHW will be 40 min long, and Erin will spend approximately 20 minutes of that just getting to know you, if you wish. If not, that's ok too! The other portion of the appointment will be spent discussing your needs and building a plan WITH you. We want you to feel as good about the path forward as we do, and that is important to us!

Our cash pay rates, for longer appointment times than most providers are about half of what other providers charge, and don't have a concierge type availability to be there for you. At Unity, we do not believe there should be barriers to great mental health, including elevated out of pocket costs. It just should not be a burden to get help.

I wasn't the best patient but Erin is an amazing person and clinician as well as her husband helping manage the practice and appointments. They are some of the kindest people. Attend the sessions. Put in the work. Erin and the team and any of her colleagues will help you. Very understanding and lended a trusting ear when nobody else would.

Unity mental health does a great job of communicating and getting you scheduled quickly. I never feel rushed and always feel heard and my concerns feel validated. Erin is able to explain everything in a clear and concise way. I would recommend this practice particularly for pregnant/nursing women.

The provider, Erin was great! It is always hard for me to switch to new providers and trying to get comfortable opening back up. Erin immediately made me feel "at home." I have never had a provider spend so much time just getting to know ME while working towards a plan. Every provider I have seen schedules a 30 minute or 40 minute initial appointment, But Erin, and Michael, the nurse that handles scheduling, set aside an hour. It was this extra time that really helped me feel like was in the right place, finally. Since my initial appointment and a couple follow ups, Michael reaches out via text fairly often to check and see how I am doing and how I feel on my new med regimen. Never has a Dr reached out like that, other than appointments. They just seem to care at Unity.
