What should a new client know about working with you?

A new client should know that working with me is collaborative, transparent, and focused on real-world results. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management through secure telehealth, serving children, adolescents, and adults. Care is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and individualized—there is no one-size-fits-all approach. I take time to understand not only symptoms, but also life context, stressors, strengths, and goals. Clients can expect: - Clear communication and education about diagnoses, treatment options, and medications - Shared decision-making, where your preferences and concerns matter - Practical treatment plans aimed at improving daily functioning, not just reducing symptoms - Consistency and follow-through, with careful monitoring and adjustments as needed - Respectful, non-judgmental care in a professional and confidential setting I work best with clients who value honesty, engagement in the process, and are open to gradual, thoughtful treatment rather than quick fixes. My goal is to help you feel more stable, functional, and empowered in your mental health care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process is structured, collaborative, and clinically thorough, while remaining flexible to each client’s needs. 1. Initial Evaluation We begin with a comprehensive psychiatric assessment conducted via secure telehealth. I review your history, current symptoms, prior treatments, medical factors, and psychosocial context. This session focuses on understanding the whole picture, not just a diagnosis. 2. Treatment Planning After the evaluation, we discuss findings in clear, practical terms. Together, we develop an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management, behavioral strategies, lifestyle considerations, and coordination with therapy or other providers when appropriate. I emphasize shared decision-making—you are an active participant in your care. 3. Medication Management (If Indicated) If medication is part of the plan, I start conservatively, explain expected benefits and risks, and monitor response closely. Adjustments are made thoughtfully based on effectiveness, tolerability, and functional improvement—not guesswork. 4. Follow-Up & Monitoring Follow-up visits focus on symptom progression, side effects, daily functioning, and goals. Treatment is refined over time as your needs evolve. I prioritize consistency, continuity, and clinical accountability. 5. Ongoing Support & Coordination When appropriate, I collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, schools, or families (with consent) to ensure cohesive care. My goal is long-term stability, not just short-term symptom relief. Overall, clients can expect clear communication, evidence-based care, and a professional but compassionate approach designed to help them function better in real life.
