The cornerstone of maintaining good health is psychological health. Esder identifies each person as his or her unique self and takes a collaborative approach, working as partners to achieve optimal mental health. Esder has a genuine desire to listen with empathy, understand each person as an individual, and help identify the client's unique self.
Treatment may involve working together in individualized sessions, or referrals will be made to other healthcare professionals, if appropriate, to provide the best possible care. This collaborative approach of working as partners is key to achieving optimal mental health.
Esder received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix and her Master of Science in Nursing with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specialty from Azusa Pacific University. She trained in psychiatry at urgent care psychiatric facilities including Exodus, Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, UCLA, and outpatient private practices. She is here to work as a team with you to help create personalized and attainable treatment goals to improve your mental health.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I specialize in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, Insomnia, Psychotic Disorders and Eating Disorders. Born and raised amidst diverse cultures, languages and religions, I bring the unique experiences and perspectives from different cultures and their interplay within psychiatry. As your provider, I will work with you to come up with a plan to achieve your goals. I provide a warm and judgment-free space to allow you to express your thoughts at your own comfortable pace.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I utilize a collaborative and holistic approach to address biological, psychological, and social factors impacting my client’s health. I use various treatment methods including medication management, mindfulness-based skills, motivational interviewing, and brief supportive therapy to address my client’s needs.

I have gone to a few different NP’s over the years and Esder is by far my favorite! She really takes the time to understand your needs and how she can help with your care. She is warm and caring and always makes you feel heard yet stays focused on your wellness treatment/goals through your sessions. Even after just my first couple sessions with her I could really see and appreciate the level of experience and expertise she has in the field. I would absolutely recommend Esder for any of your mental health needs.

Esder has been incredibly attentive and empathetic in all my sessions with her. She’s very methodical in prescribing the right personalized treatment, but is also very cautious/mindful of my life circumstances, and adjusts accordingly with my medication. I wouldn’t entrust my mental health needs to anyone else at this point. Highly recommend!
