Dr. Esha Garg is a board-certified psychiatrist starting her post-graduate practice with Talkiatry. After completing an undergraduate degree in psychology at Johns Hopkins University, she completed her medical degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She is a recent graduate from the Adult Psychiatry Residency at University of Kansas Medical Center.
Dr. Garg's practice focuses on medication management but she believes in the importance of both therapy and medication management in treating mental illness. She offers medication management with supportive therapy in 30-minute follow up visits. She also utilizes referrals to therapists to enhance collaborative care and management of illness.
Dr. Garg believes in the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship. She focuses on treating patients with depression and anxiety disorders. She believes in a holistic, patient-centered approach to care and encourages patient's to explore their physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs in addition to their mental health.

Because we accept insurance, we can reduce out-of-pocket expenses and still offer high-quality care. You may not have any cost related to your visit with us, depending upon your insurance plan. Most patients pay a small copay per visit, subject to any deductible or coinsurance that your health plan has. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services determines appropriate billing guidelines. These guidelines depend on the length of the visit and the complexity and severity of your diagnosis. For this reason, we need to wait until after the visit for the final determination. We then submit the claim to your insurance company. The charges are calculated based upon pre-negotiated prices with your insurance company. Your insurance company will then determine what amount, if any, is your responsibility per your insurance plan.

I was disapointed as it is stated that she is a psych doctor so I was upset that she was not able to provide me with proper medication that I am unable to just stop taking I think it should be told all possible patients that the drs don;t prescribe anxiety medication even though that is a psych problem!! It is impossible to find a dr and get an appt m y medication was due 4 days ago.

I never received a link for our meeting. Yet my insurance was charged. I am not ok with this at all. She made no attempt to contact me for the appointment. I really need the service and by her charging my insurance which is limited on number of visits it really deprives me of the help I need and is very wrong and unfair.

it was a waste of my time. I was told that due to my past medical history that she could not help me. I would need to go see a psychiatrist in person. Then what's the point of virtual? I'm not able to go in anywhere. The while point of virtual is for people who are unable to go anywhere who seek help

What stood out to me most, which left me with a poor taste in my mouth, was her way of ending the appointment. Many clients aren’t a good fit for Telehealth doctors if they need regular check-ups, which was what was explained to me kindly, but after denying me treatment, decided it was appropriate to diagnosis me with Borderline Personality Disorder when I’ve been being treated for Bipolar II as an abuse victim for nearly the past decade. I hope her bedside manner improves with time. Seemed disinterested and overwhelmed throughout the visit whenever I would provide “more information” than she probably asked for. Very check-listy. Don’t recommend.
