Vera seemed to have a very open mind and listened to what I had to say, and by the end of the video call appointment, she gave me direction and resources to not only get an in depth evaluation, but to start trial meds and prepare for the possibility of moving onto full stimulants.
Overall helped me feel like there was hope to understand why I work the way I work, and that there might be an explanation to my struggles.

Essence Vera, PMHNP-BC, is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with passion for delivering compassionate, evidenced-based mental health care across the lifespan. With a strong background in nursing and advanced clinical training in psychiatry. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Coast University, Essence proceeded to earn a Master of Science in nursing with a specialization in mental health from Walden University. With experience in hospital setting and outpatient mental health clinics she brings both clinical expertise and genuine high-quality care to every patient encounter.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I’m committed to a holistic and patient-centered approach, integrating medication management with therapeutic techniques to promote mental wellness and recovery. Although my primary role is medication management, I work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, personalized care tailored to each individual’s needs.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I like to build therapeutic relationships that promote trust, confidentiality and open communication. I work with my clients to better understand their needs. My role is to provide clinical expertise and support your goals through shared decision-making. I like to view my time with clients as a collaborative partnership.

If I could rate this place less that 1 star I would. I scheduled my initial visit for 01/05 and they canceled my appointment 15 minutes after I already paid and had not been seen. We rescheduled for 01/06 and the appointment was administratively canceled without notifying me. I then rescheduled for 01/07 and my appointment was marked complete without anyone seeing me. I genuinely don’t know if this place is truly this disorganized or a scam but either way I would avoid them at all costs.
