About Dr. Eugene Tarasov
Eugene Tarasov, DO, Ph.D., is a general surgeon who has been treating patients throughout the greater Chicago area for eight years. Dr. Tarasov currently sees patients at Chicago Surgical Clinic in Arlington Heights, Illinois. After serving as a paramedic for St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, in 2001, Dr. Tarasov graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. He later earned a Master of Science degree in chemistry from the same prestigious university. Passionate about education, Dr. Tarasov pursued his Ph.D. at Loyola University Chicago, graduating in 2007.
With a strong desire to work directly with patients and help improve their health, Dr. Tarasov enrolled in Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. He graduated in 2011 with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree before completing a general surgery residency at Saint James Hospital and Health Centers in Olympia Fields, Illinois. Dr. Tarasov was so well regarded during his surgical training that he earned the Chief Surgery Resident award in 2015.

I was a walk in, the staff called my PCP to get a referral as I was not aware I needed one. I was seen. Spanish lady was helpful and very informative translating what doctor was saying, I felt comfortable having someone that spoke my language.
