What is your typical process for working with clients?
A typical first session includes a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We will review your current symptoms, medical and mental health history, medications, lifestyle factors, and treatment goals. I may use structured screening tools to help clarify diagnosis and guide treatment planning.
If medication is appropriate, we will discuss options in detail, including benefits, risks, and expected outcomes. Treatment decisions are made collaboratively.
Follow-up visits focus on monitoring symptoms, medication effectiveness, side effects, and overall functioning (sleep, mood, focus, work, relationships).
While I specialize in medication management, I also incorporate supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies during sessions. If more intensive weekly psychotherapy is needed, I can coordinate or provide referrals to ensure comprehensive care.
My goal is to provide clear direction, measurable progress, and a professional, supportive environment throughout your treatment.
