What should a new client know about working with you?

When a client comes for a visit, it is an invitation to their life. The visit's goal is to recover your mental well-being and balance. I offer an individualized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs, incorporating your preferences, values, and goals. Open communication about what works for you is crucial. Building a trusting relationship is essential. Therefore, I will listen, support, and help you navigate your mental health journey without judgment. If medication is part of your treatment, we will discuss options, benefits, and potential side effects. It’s important to communicate any concerns or side effects you experience. The therapeutic Approaches are different therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or mindfulness techniques. Be open to exploring different approaches to find what resonates with you. I will be advocating for you while providing valuable information about your condition, treatment options, and coping strategies. All of our conversations are strictly confidential allowing you to speak freely about your thoughts and feelings. Understanding the limits of confidentiality (e.g., risk of harm to self or others) is important. After the individualized treatment plan, medication management, or any other needs are approached, consistent appointments are important to help monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and ensure you are on the right track. Be proactive about scheduling and attending these sessions I also often work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. They may involve psychologists, social workers, and primary care providers in your care for a holistic approach. Your mental health is important to me. .

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The initial visit is an hour or more if needed; it is a comprehensive visit to your life. Follow-up appointments are to ensure your well-being by discussing medication management and holistic integration. They are usually done in half an hour, but if you require more time, we will have more time. If you have HMO insurance, please reach out to your PCP for a referral so you can ensure your visit payment is covered.
