About Dr. Eva Polar

Dr. Eva Polar is board-certified in internal medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Polar serves as a primary care physician providing care for adults of all ages. She diagnoses and manages the broad spectrum of illnesses that affect adults, including chronic illness, as well as promotes wellness and disease prevention. As part of her responsibilities, Dr. Polar assisted in achieving the National Committee for Quality Assurance's Patient-Centered Medical Home designation, a model of care that emphasizes care coordination and communication and is a quality indicator highly regarded by clinicians and consumers alike.
Dr. Polar graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor of Science degree in the premedical honors program. During this time, she became interested in research, working on the development of hydrogels as potential wound healing materials. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at the New York Institute of Technology, New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY. Dr. Polar completed her residency at Southampton Hospital and her fellowship at Wellington Regional Medical Center. She then joined the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine, where she was involved in the management of clinical trials.

I’ve followed Dr. Polar since 2020! It is so difficult to find a provider with amazing bedside manner and one that provides genuine care. The visits can feel rushed at times but then again, welcome to the American healthcare system. I look forward to continuing my care with Dr. Eva Polar & I highly recommend her!

I felt as if Dr. Polar talked down to me and did not make me feel comfortable. I'm sure she is a fine doctor but if I'm not comfortable being open and honest with my primary, there's no point in going. I will find someone else.

She was alright overall, but consistently raised her voice when speaking with me and said "you ask many questions" once. Her behavior can be unprofessional at times, and she gets defensive/aggressive when her medical opinion is questioned. I think I may not see her again as my primary care doctor.

Millie, the nurse, was so sweet and so gentle when taking blood, it made me far less nervous. Dr. Polar was incredibly nice and answered questions I had. I won’t be nervous going back to see her!
