About Evelina Ingersoll

Evelina Ingersoll is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over twenty three years of patient care experience. In 2003, she began working for Water’s Edge Dermatology as a clinical nurse supervisor and has worked with a variety of providers in both adult and pediatric dermatology. Evelina earned her undergraduate nursing degree from Indian River State College, which she graduated with high Honors. She then continued her training at the Georgetown University School of Nursing and Health Studies in Washington, DC. With her passion for top-quality patient care, Evelina furthered her education and graduated with certification by both the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as well as the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC). Evelina is fluent in Russian and lives an active, healthy lifestyle. When not in the clinic she enjoys mountain biking, boating, gardening and spending time with her family.

I saw a poster on the wall that said they could provide treatment for hair loss, Minoxidil. She said she would write a prescription for me. I said I had a heart attack 16 months ago and have 5 stents and I am type 2 diabetic, would it mix with my heart and diabetes medication and she said it wouldn't be a problem. After picking up my prescription I googled Minoxidil and found.... Heart Issues: Minoxidil can cause or worsen heart problems, especially for individuals with pre-existing heart conditions. It is crucial to consult with a healthcare professional, especially a cardiologist, before using minoxidil if you have heart issues. No, I will not recommend.

I made an appointment about 10 days prior to my visit. They kindly provided a reminder a few days before the visit. Once there, they were prompt (almost on time), friendly and effective. Nurse Ingersoll is an excellent provider who listens to patient's issues and formulates a great treatment plan. Very satisfied with her technical competence and happy to say she is also very compassionate and easy to talk with. Only issue is the practice is very busy and the wait is sometimes (but not always) long. If you have time pressure, let them know at checkin and they will try to accommodate you.

First derm appt in 20 years was a great experience back. Evelina was extremely gentle and thorough! Got taken back to my room upon arrival (20 minutes earlier then my appt time) and was out within 20 minutes with two procedures.
