What should a new client know about working with you?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the pressure to make “the right” choices or like everyone else has it figured out while you’re just trying to keep up, you’re not alone. I understand how complicated it feels to balance independence, expectations, and mental health. My approach is person-centered, which means I ask questions that help you reconnect with what matters to you, not just what you think you should be doing. I’m not here to judge or fix you. I’m here to help you slow down, feel safe in your own brain, and start choosing your next steps with more clarity and less fear. What sets me apart is my commitment to whole-person care. I’ll take time to understand your history, your biology, and your environment, so we can build a plan that actually works for your life. My background working in NYC’s community clinics taught me that access and equity matter and that healing looks different for everyone. I’m especially passionate about supporting those navigating intergenerational trauma, including first- and second-generation immigrants who may feel caught between cultures or expectations.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During our first session, I’ll listen, really listen. We’ll talk about what’s been feeling heavy, what’s been feeling unclear, and what you’d like to feel instead. I’ll ask questions about your habits, your history, your values, and how your mental health shows up in your day-to-day life. If it makes sense to explore medication, I’ll walk you through your options without pressure. I also incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help untangle negative thinking patterns, mindfulness techniques to bring more calm into your day, and values exploration to help you feel more like you. Over time, sessions become a space to reflect, experiment, and recalibrate. We might talk through a hard conversation you’re avoiding, look at the habits that are draining you, or explore why you feel stuck, even when you’re doing “everything right.” You’ll never be expected to perform or have it all together here. You can come exactly as you are, tired, unsure, or still figuring it out. If you’re ready to stop pretending everything’s fine and start feeling more like yourself again, I’d be honored to support you. Book your first appointment today.
