What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is warm, direct, and nonjudgmental. I believe in meeting you where you are while also gently challenging patterns that may be holding you back. I use an evidence-based approach, often incorporating techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), supportive therapy, and solution-focused therapy. During our first session, I will take time to get to know you. I’ll complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, which includes discussing your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and goals for treatment. This helps me form an accurate diagnosis and develop a personalized treatment plan with you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During our first session, I will take time to get to know you. I’ll complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, which includes discussing your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and goals for treatment. This helps me form an accurate diagnosis and develop a personalized treatment plan with you. Follow-up sessions are typically focused on tracking your progress, adjusting medications if needed, and providing therapy to help you build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and navigate life stressors. Sessions are collaborative—you are an active participant in your care, and your feedback is always valued.
