tldr
- Dr. Ashraf was an 1hr 10 min late, did not apologize
- Dr. Ashraf and her staff did not tell me all info required to make this a productive appointment
When I described my cold, congestion, and ear problem to the staff, they said that regardless of whether or not I came to their office, the appointment would have to be virtual. With that information, I took the appointment from home.
I arrived in the zoom room on time, Dr. Ashraf's staff kept delaying for an 1 hr and 10 min.
When we both got on the call, Dr. Ashraf said that if I drove to the appointment, she could have quickly checked my ear to see if there was an infection. I told her that the staff informed me that the appt would have to be virtual regardless. She said that they generally make the appt virtual, but she can "tweak these things" if necessary. This was not communicated to me as an option, even though I made it clear before the appointment that I had trouble hearing from one side.

Horrible bedside manner I have never been treated so rudely by a doctor. Also, the medical assistant had me get fully undressed and told me I should get a Pap smear. The doctor came in and had no clue why I was fully undressed and said I didn’t need one.

Despite ZocDoc verification, I was informed 5 times this doctor does not accept Medicare Part A, 4 times via phone the day before, the last time during my scheduled appointment time.
My appointment time was changed, then corrected.
Each time I provided a ZocDoc photo verifying (ZocDoc) coverage they agreed to see me. The next person would contact me that they don’t accept it.
On appt day, the same sequence happened.
All paperwork completed, I was partially clothed in the exam room:
I was presented with an additional document titled “Consent to Treat” with unfamiliar wording and different format from other documents that “had to be signed to be seen by the doctor.”
There was no header, or professional appearance.
I declined, was refused to be seen. Disappointed, but was also relieved to leave.
In healthcare for decades, retired from the industry, have never experienced anything this disturbing in an office setting.

I have had a difficult time with doctors in the past, but Dr. Fariha absolutely blew me away. I felt so supported and comfortable around her, and she made sure to be timely and help me as much as she could. It was clear she's incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to medicine, and I'm very happy with how my visit went.
