“I was in a lot of Neck Pain and have debated weather to come out here or to see my PCP, made a Zocdoc appointment and was called by there office for more info, very respectful people on the phone, if I’m not mistaken I was speaking with Roberta she’s a gem. Saw the Dr.Khan today, he is literally one of the most respectful Drs. That I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, he listened to my concern, saw the pain in my eyes, addressed the issue and within ten minutes I was lying on the table and having all my issues resolved, a great Dr, I am forever thankful and will absolutely be seeing him again and his team of professionals. I’ve been in the restaurant industry for many years and lately it’s been catching up to me, and like I said he made everything work perfectly fine for me and have already set up a follow up appointment to see him, I will make sure to recommend all my friends, family, even restaurant guests to see him, he was that compassionate, thank you Dr. Khan again. ”

About Dr. Farooq Khan
Dr. Farooq Khan is the Managing Partner of Modern Pain Consultants. He is Fellowship trained in Interventional Pain Management, with additional training in Anesthesiology and General Surgery, and maintains double board certifications. Dr. Khan earned his Doctor of Medicine from Rush University. As a result of his comprehensive training, he has developed a formidable skill set which he uses to treat patients in the office, the interventional procedure suite, and the operating room. Due to his compassionate nature, Dr. Khan is widely recognized for the quality of care he provides to each patient as well as the discerning manner in which he chooses to utilize interventional treatments.
Some of the conditions Dr. Khan treats include chronic pain, spinal pathologies of both the neck and lower back, vertebral compression fractures, cancer-related pain complaints, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), persisting pain after surgery of the spine or joints, pain due to degenerative joint disease, painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy, shingles pain (postherpetic neuralgia), and pain due to neurological or musculoskeletal disorders.
Dr. Khan completed his Interventional Pain Management training at some of the top institutions in the country. He sharpened his diagnostic and treatment skills at multiple programs including the Northwestern Medical Center Pain Program, Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) Comprehensive Pain Management Program, the RUSH University Pain Center, and the Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago chronic pain treatment center. As a result of this wide scope of training, he is familiar with multimodal approaches to both acute and chronic pain issues-balancing the advantages and disadvantages of individual therapeutic options.

I really liked my doctor. Thorough and friendly. Knowledgable too. It wasn’t Dr. Khan but his partner. My only criticism would be, and it’s a big one, the first appointment I waited well over 2 hours to be seen and the second appointment well over an hour. As a busy working woman it is very difficult for me to take that much time off work. Actually extremely hard. I am in the medical field also so I can’t afford that time.

I was in excruciating pain and my orthopedic surgeon called Dr. Khan and asked him to see me right away- Dr. Khan saw me immediately and gave me an injection which provided great relief. Dr. Khan was very nice and I am so grateful for his compassion towards me and for giving me the injection right away. His office staff was very nice as well.
