Fatoumata Niagado, MSN, PMHNP-BC, is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience treating mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, PTSD, sleep disorders, and substance use disorder. She earned her master's degree in nursing with a focus on psychiatric nursing from Walden University and completed her bachelor's degree with distinction (Summa Cum Laude). She has years of experience working with the State of Maryland as a psychiatric nurse.
Fatoumata has experience in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. She is a people person who enjoys helping others and has worked extensively with minority populations and underserved communities, including LGBTQ individuals, the homeless, and those with substance use disorders. Fluent in French and Bambara, she values cultural connection and communication. Outside of work, she loves spending time with family and traveling.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My philosophy is to treat every patient as I would like to be treated. I am morally obligated to use my knowledge to serve and educate individuals in my community. As a healthcare professional, I can change how mentally ill individuals are viewed and treated. I provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management. However, I do not provide individual therapy.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
