BOARD-CERTIFIED PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER, ASN, BSN, MSN. DNP pending. Student of Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Walden University.
Koroma Fatu is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (CRNP-PMH) who graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. She also holds a Bachelor's degree from Post University and an Associate's degree from Radians College. Currently, she is a final-year student in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Walden University.
As the Clinical Director and Chief Executive Officer, she has over ten years of clinical psychiatric experience. Since 2010, she has served as the Clinical Forensic Psychiatric Charge Nurse at the State of Maryland's only forensic psychiatric hospital.
The Clinical Director has extensive hands-on experience and exceptional competencies in caring for patients suffering from depression, anxiety disorders, substance use disorder, PTSD, schizophrenia, dissociative disorders, and many others.
She employs a multifaceted approach in treating patients with mental health issues and behavioral problems. She is an expert in the following treatment methods:

Incredibly unprofessional. The following all occurred a little over 30 days. No one was at the office when I arrived for my child's appointment. She refused to answer the phone or respond to texts messages and eventually started to block my calls. She eventually did a video call over WhatsApp and but then refused to provide the notes from the appointment so my child's mother and I could maintain a record.
Dr. Fatu Koroma continued to ignore my calls and messages. I simply wanted to receive the notes. She eventually answered, assured me that she would provide the notes by a certain date and failed to do it. I kept trying to contact her and she eventually acknowledged that she never even kept notes and then proceeded to insult me and my child's mother. I ended up reporting her to the Governor of Maryland and the state-level representation simply so concerned parents can maintain a record of our daughter's appointments.

Dr Fatu was the bridge I needed to cross. She made me feel like I was talking to a person who has known me for years. She made me comfortable and actually cared about me. Our conversations were real not a repeat from a medical book. She really cares about me and what I needed to release with her. She made points that suck with me. Dr Fatu is very approachable no matter what the situation is. Very affected when it came to listening to my frustrations with past experience when it came to adjusting my mental health medications.
