“Walking in, it felt a bit overwhelming as the place was very busy. I waited in line to check in, and the wait to be called in was about 15-20 minutes, with another 10 minutes inside before being seen. Mr. Nunez was polite, listened to my concerns, he wasn’t in a rush and allowed me the time to express my concerns. He explained the possible issue thoroughly. He also provided treatment options, which I appreciated. I will be returning.”

About Felipe Nunez

Felipe Nuñez, PA-C, is the VP of Medical Affairs for Los Angeles Orthopedic Surgery Specialists. He understands the importance of quality health care. As a 12-year interdisciplinary team member at Los Angeles Orthopedic Surgery Specialists, Felipe Nuñez focuses on each patient’s unique needs. The practice has several locations in Greater Los Angeles: East Los Angeles, Wilshire, Santa Fe Springs, Pico Rivera, Tarzana, Encino, Valencia, and Montebello, California. Felipe started his studies at Cal Poly Pomona in Pomona, California, with a Bachelor of Science in sports medicine, learning about surgical and rehabilitative techniques. He then completed a Masters of Science in physician assistant studies from Western University of Health Sciences, also in Pomona. He built on his skills through clinical rotations and practical experience in family medicine, emergency medicine, internal medicine, and general surgery. He started as a physician assistant with Family Care Specialist in Montebello for three years. Felipe is a proud member of the California Academy of PAs and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

The doctor himself was fine but the experience to get in to see him was terrible. Despite there being 5 doctors there that day and despite having an appointment, I waited for over an hour. When I got there they told me there were 4 people ahead of me. The waiting room was huge, and felt like an ER with people playing their phones on speaker & 2 televisions blaring Reba. The staff was friendly, but obviously the place was overbooked. After an hour, I checked at the desk and was told that my appointment time wasn't when I was supposed to be seen, just a starting point to be seen any indefinite amount of time in the future AFTER that point. And that there were still 4 people ahead of me. 2m later they came to get me for X-rays, then a student came in first to talk to me without the doctor, and he was nice, but green. Then the doc finally came, and that was a totally normal interaction...but yeesh, getting there felt like a journey! Don't know that I'd go back if there are other options.
