About Fernanda Matsuda

I'm Fernanda, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. As your dedicated nutrition ally, I bring a global perspective to the table. My approach is not just about shedding pounds; it's about cultivating a sustainable, nourishing lifestyle tailored to your unique needs. I am also a wife and mother of two. Originally from Brazil, I found my passion for nutrition at a very young age, watching my mother cook delicious meals and make smoothies from the fruits in our garden. Having navigated the challenges of adapting to a new culture, I understand the impact of dietary changes on well-being. I earned my degree from the University of Minnesota and completed my Internship in Dietetics, which prepared me to work in diverse healthcare settings including acute inpatient care, outpatient, long-term care, short-term rehab, and memory care. I found my passion in private practice, where I can walk alongside my clients and watch them achieve their goals with confidence. I am passionate about helping my clients feel great physically and never feel like dieting again. I encourage curiosity about nutrition and guide clients to set realistic goals to maintain optimal health for life. I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. Fluent in both English and Portuguese, I love connecting with people in two languages to build bridges and share different perspectives. My family and I currently live in Minnesota. I am able to provide telehealth appointments in the state of Texas, though I do not hold a Texas license.

I cannot thank Fernanda enough! She completely changed my perspective on food and nutrition. I came in with a list of issues and was expecting another ‘quick fix’ diet plan.
