There was too much time waiting for the doctor after checking in with her assistant and more time waiting for my prescription etc. It is not suitable for a lunch hour Drs. visit. Everything else was good!
Dr. Cook is warm and friendly. She is complete courteous.
She was very helpful!! I highly recommend her.
My visit was amazing , she is a very personable Doctor and attentive to your concerns. I was very pleased
I enjoyed Dr. Cool-Bolden's personality. She seems sweet and caring. But, I will say that I waited 45 minutes to actually see her and was only with her for a short time before she prescribed things that I have to get mailed to me from some speciality person and will also cost more than anything other prescription I've had for acne before...
Dr. Cook-Bolden was personable and spent a good amount of time explaining things to me about my skin and the types of products I was using. She was very caring in the way in which she spoke to me.
Dr. Cook-Bolden is so professional and kind, I really feel like she makes sure to answer all questions and issues you may have. And never makes you feel rushed, she really gives you the time and feedback you deserve. I highly recommend her.
Everyone was nice and professional. All of our questions were answered. A test was conducted in addition to prescribing medication.
Very pleasant and professional. Gave comprehensive information about my personal concerns and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. Very stress free visit and her exam room wasn't cold as is normally the case.
Dr. Cook-Bolden was very thorough, professional, and had an excellent bedside manner.
She was great! Staff was just as good, from beginning to end. The doctor as well as the staff were very informative. The wait was okay, nothing to complain about. Totally recommend her to others.
I really liked Dr Fran Cook Bolden & her PA . Everyone was friendly and I felt very comfortable. The Dr & her staff took their time with me. Although Dr Fran Cook Bolden was very busy, I never felt the pressure of being rushed our from the office.
Excellent. Unfortunately my insurance is not accepted but she is worth the visit.
I think Dr. Bolden was very professional but ultimately didn't feel she fully diagnosed my issue and I went for 3 visits.
Very friendly. Will definitely go back! Only downside to my visit was that even though I arrived on time.. I still had to wait over an hour just to be seen.
I went to Dr. Cook-Bolden for my annual skin screening, and she was extremely thorough. She took her time and answered all of my questions. Highly recommend!
Really great service. Smart, confident, professional environment. Only problem was the wait time was a little high. They apologized for this so I'm not sure if such a wait time is common or if today was an unusually busy day. She must be good if so many people are waiting. I will go back, but I will try to book at another time than 11:45 am.
Staff was very friendly. Office was modern & clean. Dr. Fran Cook was extremely nice & took the time to listen & also explain her thoughts. The assistants and Shelley Fox were of great help as well. I had a biopsy by Shelley Fox & she discussed everything with me beforehand.
The Doctor and her team meet my high expectations in terms of services. I have no regrets in having selected her among a list of professionals that are listed on ZOC DOC Mamadou
The wait time was a little long, but appreciate the staff being courteous, which is an upgrade from my previous dermatologists office. Dr. Cook-Bolden was very informative and had an excellent bedside manner. She took care of my issue right away. The products they prescribe are a little on the expensive side.
It was great
My doctor's visit was fantastic!!! I have been dealing with a skin rash for several years (it comes and goes) and have seen other doctors that couldn't determine what it was but Dr. Bolden immediately diagnosed me. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. I HIGHLY recommend this Dermatologist office.
I expected a long wait but was pleasantly surprised it wasn't as well as to meet both Dr. Fran and her PA who is quite knowledgeable. They were both informative, patient, and accommodating in both visits (except that I only met with the PA the 2nd time).
I was very pleased with my visit.
It was quick. She was nice and informative. She answered my questions and addressed my concerns. Just waiting to see if the regimen she prescribed for me to follow will work this time.
The wait time was great and I was more than 20 minutes late and they were courteous and pleasant.
Overall, I was disappointed by the appointment. Originally, I was really excited to see Dr. Cook-Bolden as I had read about her in Essence magazine. Upon arriving, I was brought into the back area by the medical assistant after a moderate twenty minute wait. I had already filled out all the forms, but I had to review all the information again. This process was long and repetitive. After he was done, I continued to wait for another twenty minutes in a room that did not look like a doctor's room. The Physician's Assistant entered and was very nice and helpful. However, after she left, I waited again for until she entered with Dr. Cook-Bolden. The doctor spent two minutes with me. She did not get up close to look at my skin or really spend time with me. After they left, I waited again for another ten minutes until a different medical assistant entered to review my regime. After two hours, I felt like I had absolutely wasted my time and as if I did not receive the care that I had hoped to receive.
She was very knowlegable and personable. What she prescribed is working very well! I liked the fact that she doesn't go right into prescribing pills for solutions too.
My visit with Dr. Fran Cook-Bolden went very well. I didn't feel rushed while she was seeing me. She answered all of my questions thoroughly and educated me about my skin. She is very friendly and appears to have great results with her patients as the waiting area was packed with everyone to see her. I waited longer than I wanted to due to so many people there, but overall I'm very happy with her. I would definitely recommend her to my family and friends.
She was very professional, personable, and friendly. She diagnosed my problem and gave me several solutions to try. I look forward to my follow up visit with Dr. Cook. Her entire staff was kind, hospitable, and helpful.
I have been seeing Dr. Cook-Bolden for about 10 years and have full confidence in her. She is explains everything and is patient and thorough. I have recommend about 1/2 dozen of my associates to see her.
She addressed all my concerns and explained everything thoroughly. Look forward to future visits!
Very professional, addressed all 4 concerns I had in a 10 minute conversation. I had a few questions, but I came prepared and Dr. Cook-Bolden was just as professional and efficient. I appreciate that we were able to address all my concerns in one visit. From the time of my appt to the time I left the office, I spent approximately 90 minutes at the practice (and this doesn't include my arriving early to fill out paperwork). Some of that time was spent waiting in the back, even after I had been called from the waiting room. I had the time today, so the wait didn't bother me-- but if I had been trying to fit this in as a lunch time appointment, this would have been stressful. However, I will say that although the front desk staff was busy they were professional and helpful. No one in the waiting room looked stressed out or upset, so I think the waiting room experience just speak more to Dr. C-B's high demand, not management problems. So all in all, I'm a fan of Dr. C-B, but be prepared to wait!
She is a great determatologist..
I like Dr. Cook-Bolden and trust her medical advise and well as appreciate her beside manner and professionalism. Her office assistants were also very good. My only issue is her front desk support. The young lady was not terribly professional and seemed to be too overwhelmed to handle her job. I would definitely go back to see the Doctor and recommend her to others
Office and staff courteous and very professional.
She's amazing, her staff is amazing. I feel lucky to have found her. Great bedside manner, she listened carefully to my medical history, and really took my concerns seriously.
I saw her years ago at St. Luke's-Roosevelt. She was good then and she's good now. Very thorough takes her time to talk to you and goes over all your options for a plan that works best for your budget and/or lifestyle (ex: conceiving). Her waiting room is crowded because she's so sought after, but her staff are personable and pick up the slack so you don't feel like you're waiting forever. Highly recommended, just be prepared for a wait.
I went to see Dr. Cook-Bolden to treat a small cyst located on my upper leg that had burst underneath the skin, creating a welt-like legion that wasn't healing on its own. First, the doctor’s assistant took me to a private consultation room before I went into an actual operation/treatment room. This was where the nurse asked me to remove my pants to show her the legion on my upper leg. I'm not shy whatsoever, but it was extremely unprofessional, as she did not give me anything to drape around my waist AND I was seated on a normal waiting room chair, not an examination bed. When Dr. Cook-Bolden entered the room, I was just sitting there pantless in a room that was clearly meant for verbal consultation only, and she reprimanded the assistant in front of me for not putting me in an operating room first and not giving me a gown or something to drape around my waist - but I feel like that should be part of an assistant's basic training, or just common sense, no? Once I was relocated to an actual exam room and on the examination bed, the cyst had to be opened up and drained, and was injected with cortizone. However, they didn’t take any extra measures to cover the bed other than the very thin tissue paper covering that is always on there, so (I’m sorry if this is too graphic but) once they opened the legion, it was leaking fluid and blood all over the bare examination table. There is no way that this is acceptable protocol for keeping the office safe and sterile for other patients. At one point, Dr. Cook-Bolden asked the assistant in reference to the tray of gauze/cotton/needles/operating tools, “is everything on that tray new?” to which the assistant responded, and I am not making this up, “I mean….I don’t know...probably.” I was supposed to have a follow-up visit one week later, but, perhaps needless to say, I never went back.
Doctor is lovely: warm and approachable. Receptionists friendly and efficient. However: One assistant left thread from post-biopsy stitches; another used a glue to faux an allergy past test that resulted in a large raw rectangle requiring a cortisone cream to remedy. Lessons learned: Ask for a doctor to review the assistants' work before leaving the office.
She is an excellent doctor. She explained everything to me.
First time to see Dr Bolden and I thought she was wonderful I plan on staying with her from now on!!
It was great. I arrived a little early and waited maybe 5 mins. She was very thorough and didn't rush me along.I felt my needs were met.
Everyone was pleasant. Things were explained in a timely manner. I felt a bit rushed at one point after I was told how much treatment would cost but office was full. I will probably go again because they explain good skin care to you.
I thought that she was very professional and knowledgeable, the office was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was one of the cleanest in comparison to other doctors' offices. The staff were attentive and courteous. I surely would recommend her and re-visit again.
I went in for a rash and she was able to identify it before she took a sample. I was impressed with how knowledgeable she was and thorough. Unfortunately, she is so busy that she referred me to PA for my follow up. I had wanted to stick with her because I specifically chose her for her expertise. There was also a billing issue on their part. They eventually figured it out but I was so put off by the experience and not being able to see Dr. Cook-Bolden for future visits that I just never returned.
The service was great. However I think they should double check with your insurance carrier whether or not the insurance is still accepting her. I found out that my insurance was no longer accepting her only after I got a bill. Other than that great service, would definitely go back if my insurance company get their act together.
She was very nice, helpful and informative. I think I found my new derm!
All went well.
After having an awful experience with another doctor, I was able to get a quick appointment with Dr. Cook-Bolden. The entire staff was professional and thorough. They asked about my entire skin care routine and regimen before examining me. Once they diagnosed my problem, they gave me a detailed regimen that would restore my skin. In addition, they take FSA cards and carry many products in their office. This is the place folks!!!
