What should a new client know about working with you?

As a new client, you should know that working with me means stepping into a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where your voice matters. I bring empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a client-centered approach to each session, and I strive to meet you exactly where you are. I believe that healing and growth are deeply personal journeys, so I tailor our work to reflect your unique experiences, values, and goals. I’ll walk alongside you—not in front of you—encouraging insight, self-compassion, and practical tools to help you manage life’s challenges. Open communication is important in our work together. I welcome your feedback and value your honesty—it helps us build a strong therapeutic relationship and ensures that our sessions are meaningful and effective for you. Ultimately, I’m here to support your transformation—not to “fix” you, but to help you rediscover your strength, clarity, and resilience.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process for working with clients is collaborative, compassionate, and structured to support growth at a comfortable pace. Here's what you can typically expect: Initial Consultation: We begin with an introductory session where I get to know you—your goals, concerns, and what brought you to seek support. This is also a chance for you to ask questions and see if we’re a good fit. Assessment & Goal Setting: During the first few sessions, I gather a more detailed history and we collaboratively identify key focus areas. From there, we set realistic and meaningful goals tailored to your needs. Ongoing Sessions: Our work together is guided by evidence-based approaches, such as [CBT, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, etc., depending on her modality]. Sessions are a space for reflection, skill-building, and exploring patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Progress Reviews: Periodically, we check in on your progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed. Your feedback is essential and helps shape our work together. Closure & Maintenance: As you meet your goals, we begin planning for discharge or maintenance care, focusing on tools and strategies you can use independently. I also offer periodic check-ins if needed. My role is to walk alongside you with empathy and professionalism, while helping you move toward greater clarity, healing, and resilience.
