Psychologist

Welcome to my practice. Congratulations on reaching out! It takes immense courage to ask for help. I love my work. It is a privilege to be part of your journey. I have been in practice for many years and I have worked as a clinical psychologist and a nurse simultaneously throughout my career. I've been fortunate to have an extensive education with amazing professors. My undergraduate degrees are in Nursing Science, and my graduate degrees are in Clinical Psychology. I did a post doctoral certification with the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation that prepared me to work with first responders. My clinical experience began in nursing. Working in a medical setting, I discovered the power of words. I moved into psychiatry and later the emergency department working in both suburban and urban centers. My work in psychology has taken me to inpatient, outpatient, community and crisis mental health centers. I have maintained a private practice in outpatient psychotherapy since becoming licensed. In my practice, everyone is welcome. My philosophy is holistic and humanistic. We focus on what concerns you most. Often we collaborate with other skilled clinicians to get you the quickest and best results. I have had the privilege of participating with recognized critical incident teams in Ohio and New Jersey. As the director of Mercury Team I coordinated interventions for police, fire, and ems departments from Trenton to Vineland. It has been my pleasure to teach graduate and undergraduate students in psychology, nursing and general studies. I serve the New Jersey Police Training Commission as faculty for Crisis Intervention Team (Memphis model) mental health training for law enforcement across the state. In these complicated times we can all benefit from wise counsel.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
