About Dr. Francine Samuels
Dr. Samuels is a seasoned pediatric gastroenterologist who treats a wide range of conditions, including constipation, abdominal pain, gastroesophageal reflux, celiac disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, feeding issues, and inflammatory bowel disease.
Board certified in pediatric gastroenterology and a member of the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN), Dr. Samuels has been recognized by New Jersey Family Favorite Kid’s Docs and Bergen County’s Top Docs for pediatric gastroenterology.
She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Cornell University, completed her internship and residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, and finished her fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center, Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital.

We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Francine Samuels. She was kind and helpful, asking us questions and addressing several directly to my teenage daughter, which I appreciated. I highly recommend this doctor.

Today my son had a appointment they canceled and gave me video call appointment morning 9 am I tried to join but there was no link for join no one didn’t help me I called office but when I call 212 355 1005 it says office close optum no good no one didn’t help me my son still sick I will try to get appointment but I have to wait for new appointment

Dr. Samuels was an absolute gem. I am so happy I found her. She was very patient with my busy toddler and my older girl that needed a break before being seen. She was considerate and listened to all of my questions and concerns. She responded in a way that was clear and understandable. She provided explanation for medication prescribed and possible next course of treatment if the current ones were not found best for the needs.

My child has situational mutism and it's typically evoked around adults that are unfamiliar. My child was able to talk to Dr. Samuels easily and without much hesitation. This speaks volumes to the type of care given.

Dr. Samuels was very friendly and an excellent listener. She made my 10-year-old feel comfortable (even laugh!) and was clear about next steps. Office staff was kind and helpful, including ensuring next appointment was booked (virtual so he doesn’t have to miss school) and making sure medication was sent.
