Psychologist

We are not all the same - we have had different experiences, thoughts, and relationships. I like to incorporate different styles of therapy and different techniques so that I can give each client the tools that help them the most. I offer potential solutions for each client, so they can see what works best for them. There is no "one size fits all" in therapy. The two of us (or three in couples therapy) work together to find what works to help resolve issues, improve relationships, and reduce distress and suffering. I have worked with both inpatient and outpatient clients in my career. I use Cognitive Behavioral techniques, I especially enjoy teaching and using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills. I have studied Attachment Theory and have used these ideas about internal models of relationships very successfully in therapy for clients who were struggling in relationships. I strive to find the tools and ideas that make the most sense to you and are the most successful for you. I want your therapy experience to be as unique as you are! Additionally, I want to build on your strengths to help you feel better and reach your goals. I do offer suggestions for skills to practice outside of sessions or tasks to complete. Remember that while I want to provide what you want from therapy, it is also a time and safe place to face challenges and make changes. I will encourage you to try and see things differently and consider changes at your own pace.
