What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting mental health treatment can feel like a big step, and my goal is to make the process feel comfortable, supportive, and collaborative from the beginning. When you work with me, you can expect a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment where you are encouraged to share your experiences openly and at your own pace. I believe that effective care begins with truly understanding your story—your challenges, your strengths, your goals, and the experiences that have shaped who you are today. Treatment is a partnership. We will work together to identify what is getting in the way of your well-being and develop a personalized plan to help you move forward. This may include medication management, supportive therapy, behavioral strategies, lifestyle changes, and other evidence-based approaches based on your individual needs and preferences. I view you as a whole person, not just a diagnosis. My approach considers the connection between your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, physical health, and life circumstances. Progress takes time, honesty, and commitment, and my role is to support you with guidance, education, and tools that help you create meaningful and lasting change. My hope is that each session leaves you feeling heard, understood, and more confident about the path ahead.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Choosing a mental health provider is an important decision, and my goal is to make the process as comfortable and straightforward as possible. Your first appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation where we'll take the time to discuss what brings you in, your symptoms, medical and mental health history, past treatments, current medications, and the goals you hope to achieve. Most importantly, I'll listen to your concerns and answer your questions so we can develop a treatment plan that fits your unique needs. If medication is recommended, we'll review the benefits, potential side effects, and available options together. You'll never be rushed into a decision—I believe the best treatment plans are created through collaboration and shared decision-making. Follow-up visits are designed to ensure you're making progress. We'll monitor how you're feeling, evaluate how well your treatment is working, address any side effects or concerns, and make adjustments when needed. I also incorporate supportive therapy techniques during medication management visits to help you build practical coping skills, manage stress, and support long-term wellness. My approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and personalized. Whether you're seeking help for ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, or another mental health concern, you can expect to be treated with respect, without judgment, and with genuine care. I offer convenient telepsychiatry appointments, making it easier to receive high-quality psychiatric care from the comfort and privacy of your home. My goal is to help you feel better, function at your best, and provide the ongoing support you need to achieve lasting mental wellness.
