About Dr. Freda Cobbinah
Dr. Cobbinah earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami, graduating with honors in Phi Theta Kappa, National Dean's List, Provost Honor Roll, and Alpha Epsilon Delta. She went on to earn a Master of Public Health from Barry University in 2007. In 2011, Dr. Cobbinah graduated from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Bay Area Medical Center and achieved Board Certification in Family Medicine in 2014.
Since 2014, Dr. Cobbinah has proudly served patients in the San Antonio community, which she is honored to call home. She has two children and enjoys painting, cooking, and interior decorating.
Dr. Cobbinah was selected by her peers as one of the top Family Medicine physicians in San Antonio.

They had her as the doctor we would be seeing in Zocdoc and she was the doctor that we saw. She was a great listener and took time to hear us instead of rushing us and giving a diagnosis before even getting to know us. I'm guessing since we were being seen at the end of the day the rooms were not exactly clean and I kept staring at a questionable stain on the wall adjacent to me. The trash can was overflowing with things, so they could work on making sure things are presentable and sanitary before a new patient goes into a room, but other that, we will be back.

I absolutely love Dr. Cobbinah and her staff. I recommend her to to my family and friends. Each visit has a limited wait time and is very straightforward, even when referring to a specialist. They use LabCorp for test results (which is in-network with my insurance BCBS), and their online payment system is very easy to use. I feel at ease when I make an appointment because I know it will be billed correctly to my insurance and to me. I'm always able to reach their staff, by phone or online messaging through their portal.

Everything was great. Everyone I encountered was very personable and kind. I have bad anxiety when getting blood work but the nurses made me feel at ease. The doctor was wonderful as well. She listened to my concerns and made sure I understood everything she was setting up for me. This was a great experience.

Receptionist was unknowledgeable and was lost on getting insurance coverage information. Their office lobby was completely empty, with 10-12 seats, and they told us to wait outside of the office. We couldn’t wait in the doc office, but had to fill out paperwork on a bench outside of their office. Nurse that took vitals put on the blood pressure arm band on incorrectly. Then took it off, looked at it, and put it back on right. Clearly wasn’t knowledgeable on what she was doing. She was stoic and never smiled, making us feel uncomfortable. Dr Cobbinah was definitely the highlight of the office visit. She was excellent and kind but her staff ruined it and we will be finding another doctor.

Great Experience with Dr. Cobbinah. She is so kind,personable, and very informative. A true sweetheart. Her assistant ( forgot name) is very nice and efficient , LaLa is a Great Phlebotomist. I would definitely go back . The office is clean , & wait time is minimal .

She seemed genuinely interested in having my wife and I make decisions that promote good health. She was both through and efficient. She also recommend a pediatrician for our daughter which was great because we had trouble finding someone. I feel confident in saying she is a great doctor for anyone to see.
