Finding the right psychiatric provider can make an enormous difference. I’m a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and UCLA-trained doctoral clinician with experience providing both traditional and advanced psychiatric treatments, including medication management, Spravato, ketamine, TMS, and long-acting injectable medications. Before becoming a psychiatric provider, I served as a U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman and worked as an emergency and critical care nurse. These experiences taught me how important it is to remain calm, listen closely, and look at the whole person—especially when symptoms feel overwhelming or treatment has not gone as expected. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related symptoms, and complex or treatment-resistant conditions. My doctoral work focused on strength training as an additional treatment for OCD, which reflects my broader interest in how exercise, sleep, nutrition, physical health, and daily routines can support emotional well-being. My approach is warm, thorough, and collaborative. I take time to understand your symptoms, history, previous treatment experiences, concerns about medication, and the goals that matter most to you. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and to understand the reasoning behind each recommendation. Treatment is never one-size-fits-all. Together, we may consider medication, practical behavioral strategies, lifestyle changes, coordination with your therapist or medical providers, and advanced treatment options when appropriate. Whether you are seeking care for the first time, looking for a second opinion, or hoping for a more thoughtful approach after previous treatments have not helped, my goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and confident in the plan we create together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I see adults ages 18-65, in person in Newport Beach and by secure video anywhere in California. New patient visits are 60 minutes so we have time for a thorough evaluation; follow-ups are typically 30 minutes. I'm in-network with Aetna, Cigna, Anthem Blue Cross, and Carelon Behavioral Health, and self-pay rates are $300 for an initial consultation and $150 for follow-up visits. If you're already working with a therapist, I'm glad to coordinate care with them.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We start with a comprehensive evaluation covering your symptoms, history, medical picture, sleep, and daily routines. From there we build a treatment plan together - medication management when it's helpful, supportive therapy, and practical strategies around exercise, sleep, and stress. Follow-ups are structured but unhurried: we track what's working, adjust what isn't, and keep your goals at the center.
