I hold a Master's in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of North Florida, which equips me to provide compassionate, expert care. Whether you're dealing with cycles of anxiety, depression, mood disorders, PTSD, panic attacks, irritability, anger issues, psychosis, or other mental health challenges, I am here for you. More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I am sure everyone's needs are different, for me I have not made a complete decision on how I feel about the services provided. I take my time making decisions like this and I weigh a lot of things, but it didn't entirely feel like the doctor had the same approach. I had an initial diagnosis and meds prescribed within 30 mins. This was not my desired outcome. I will say, it is clear she wants to help and that this is her process. I did not feel seen or heard, however. It was more clinical than therapeutic and that may be just right for some people. I think she saw that and that is why she also recommended a "talk therapist" to accompany the medication and a follow-up to ensure I will be comfortable. She is thoughtful and personable and her office was thorough in background information acquisition and making sure I didn't miss my appointment.

Very personable and warm manner; felt relieved to find her, since I had a bad experience with my previous psychiatrist
who was unreachable when I needed my medications refilled. Dr. Whitaker gave me her cell phone number, recommended a change in my medication, and seems to be much more involved and reliable. Looking forward to my next appointment!
