Dr. Gabriel A. Rivera-Delgado is a Psychiatrist in New York who has been practicing since 2024. Although medications are a powerful tool in the fight against mental illness, they should never be viewed as the only solution; therefore, Dr. Rivera-Delgado always strives to keep that in mind and view the patient in their entirety and in the context in which they exist. In that way, he maintains a holistic view of the patient and sees them as more than just their pathology, but rather, the unique individual that they are.
His goal in treating any patient is to achieve full remission of their symptoms. Although that may not always be possible with every case, Dr. Rivera-Delgado is never satisfied with simply improving symptoms. To that end, he uses as many pieces of data as possible, especially screening assessments, to guide his thinking. Dr. Rivera-Delgado has extensive experience treating a variety of mental health conditions and is confident that he can help you address whatever mental health concerns you may have. Outside of work, Dr. Rivera-Delgado is passionate about traveling and spends as much time as possible exploring the world. In his down time, he enjoys catching up with friends, reading both fiction and nonfiction, and playing video games.

He was extremely judgmental and unprofessional. I was looking for a compassionate psychiatrist to change my medication and I felt so uncomfortable I was crying during the visit. In spite of this he ridiculed and chastised me, treating me like a child instead of an adult with a need for his care.
