What should a new client know about working with you?

When working with me, you can expect a collaborative and thorough approach to your mental health. My process begins with a comprehensive evaluation where we discuss not only your symptoms but also your medical history and lifestyle. As a provider with a medical background and advanced psychiatric training, I focus on evidence-based medication management combined with supportive guidance. I believe in 'active listening'—ensuring you feel heard and understood before we decide on a treatment plan together. For my Spanish-speaking clients, I provide a culturally sensitive environment where we can communicate directly in your native language. Whether we meet in person or via video visit, my goal is to provide you with the tools and stability needed to improve your daily quality of life."

What is your typical process for working with clients?

"My process is designed to be thorough, supportive, and results-oriented: Comprehensive Initial Evaluation: Our first meeting (approx. 45-60 minutes) is dedicated to understanding your history, current challenges, and goals. I perform a detailed clinical assessment to ensure an accurate diagnosis. Collaborative Treatment Planning: Based on our evaluation, I will propose a personalized treatment plan. This may include evidence-based medication management, lifestyle adjustments, or referrals for specialized therapy. We discuss all options together to ensure you are comfortable with the path forward. Ongoing Medication Management: We will schedule follow-up appointments (30 minutes) to monitor your progress, manage any side effects, and adjust dosages as needed. Continuous Support & Coordination: I believe in integrated care. If you have a therapist or primary care physician, I am happy to collaborate with them to ensure your treatment is cohesive and effective. My goal is to provide a steady hand and professional expertise at every stage of your mental health journey."
