Psychiatrist
16 E 41st St, Ste 3B, New York, NY
Psychotherapy offers more than just treating a diagnosis—it’s a path to explore the whole person and uncover barriers to a freer, more fulfilling life, both in the short and long term. The difficulties that hold us back can be deeply layered, whether it’s challenges such as sustaining relationships, facing persistent anger, or feeling stuck in our careers. While some may find success in certain areas of life, they often face recurring frustration in others. My approach is rooted in psychoanalytic theories, which emphasize that much of what drives us lies beneath the surface. By examining childhood experiences, relationships, dreams, and fantasies, we can piece together a clearer picture of ourselves. My role is to guide my patients in uncovering these hidden parts of their lives. I am a double-boarded, second-generation psychiatrist with psychoanalytic training from the New York Psychoanalytic Society & Institute. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Stony Brook University, completed my residency in psychiatry at New York University, and pursued a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at NYU Langone Medical Center. This diverse training brings a unique depth of experience and a personal connection to this work. Whether it’s change, perspective, or something else you are seeking to tackle, the rewards of psychotherapy can be profound.
