Getting to know Gabrielle Sharaby

PLEASE NOTE: Gabrielle Sharaby is not a medical doctor and does not prescribe medications. Gabrielle Sharaby does not provide court evaluations, psychiatric evaluations, ESA letters, or expert or fact witness testimony in legal proceedings. Additionally, Gabrielle Sharaby does not offer assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or ADHD diagnoses. For further evaluation or diagnosis of ASD/ADHD, seek a behavioral testing center or a psychiatrist (MD). As a Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide, I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults navigating a range of challenges, including ADHD, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and OCD. My goal is to meet clients where they are and help them build the tools they need to move forward with confidence and clarity. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches to support each client’s unique needs and experiences. Whether through building emotional awareness, strengthening relationships, or learning new coping skills, I’m committed to walking alongside my clients as they work toward healing and growth. I believe that therapy works best when it feels real and personal—and I aim to show up with authenticity, curiosity, and compassion in every session.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I’m warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative in my approach. You don’t have to have it all figured out before coming in—therapy is a space where we can untangle things together. I’ll meet you where you are, and we’ll move at your pace. I’m not here to judge or give you quick fixes. I’m here to really listen, help you feel understood, and support you in finding clarity and creating change. I’ll ask questions, offer reflections, and sometimes gently challenge you when it’s helpful—but I’ll always respect your comfort level. Whether you're navigating something specific or just feeling stuck, we’ll work together to explore what’s going on and what you need to feel more grounded, connected, and in control.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first few sessions, I focus on getting to know you—what brings you in, what you’re struggling with, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. We’ll talk about your background, current challenges, and any goals you might have. From there, I’ll tailor our work to fit your needs. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy, so I pull from different approaches based on what’s most helpful for you. Whether that’s exploring emotions more deeply, building coping tools, improving communication, or processing past experiences—we’ll move forward together, checking in along the way. I also really value collaboration, so I’ll always be open to feedback about what’s working (or not working) in our sessions. My goal is to create a space that feels supportive, flexible, and genuinely helpful.
