About Gaia Mistriel
Gaia Mistriel is a Physician Assistant who earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Pace University–Lenox Hill Hospital PA Program. She previously graduated summa cum laude from Eastern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science.
During her clinical training, Gaia gained broad experience across family medicine, internal medicine, psychiatry, women’s health, immunology, otolaryngology, emergency medicine, and general surgery, strengthening her clinical reasoning and patient care skills.
Before PA school, Gaia worked as a medical assistant in outpatient pediatrics and as an emergency medicine technician. She is excited to begin her career in family medicine, where she hopes to build long-term, meaningful relationships with patients of all ages. She is passionate about preventative medicine and embraces a whole-person approach to wellness.
Outside of work, Gaia enjoys spending time with family and friends and staying active through yoga and hiking.

I did not schedule my appt with her I was rebooked with her because my provider was not available. I was seeking advice on side effects that I was experiencing with HRT. When I booked the appointment I made sure to add that concern. When I let her know what was happening she was searching AI for answers to my concerns and then told me that she wasn’t experienced with prescribing HRT and even gave me wrong information. If you are not experienced with this she should’ve cancelled the appointment and referred me to someone with experience

I made my appointment at approx. 1:30pm. By 1:45, they changed which doctor I was to see. At 2pm, they left a voicemail saying the office was closing at 3 because "the ac broke." They told me to call back to reschedule. I called back and was on hold until after 3pm. I never got to reschedule. And, because they waited so late to inform me of their decision to leave early - I mean, of their "broken ac" - I couldn't make an appointment with another doctor, couldn't get any tests done elsewhere. I now have to wait at least 3 days because of the weekend to get properly diagnosed. If getting a head start on your weekend was that important, why did you make the appointment in the first place?

The PA had me walk through and recount what happened when I experienced chest pain. She pointed out things to watch out for if this happens again. And explained what the different diagnostic tools that she was using to help determine what might be causing this and where I should follow up for further care. Overall this was a great visit in that I didn't feel rushed and I was able to get some questions answered and felt less anxoius about my health.
