Gail was drawn to the field of mental health for two key reasons. While working in family medicine, she observed a significant need for mental health support among patients seeking care for physical health concerns. Frustrated by the lack of resources and her own limited training at the time, she felt compelled to pursue a career in psychiatry. She earned her Master’s in Nursing from California State University Long Beach, which further equipped her to provide comprehensive mental health care. Her passion was also inspired by her husband, who works in the field and shares her deep commitment to helping others and expanding knowledge around mental health treatment.
